the ends of the longbones of the leg are discoloured at the joints

This is the skull of Cocker spaniel

This is a great example of a folklore and belief that stretched for many centuries

On the reverse you can see that it is stitched with plant fibres onto a rough hessian type backing

This specimen probably dates from mid to late 19th Century

It was part of a collection that must have originated in a Russian medical school. This is a box of 25 prepared slides of sections of human glands including sagittal section of rat embryo, human amnion, trout embryo etc. The slides are in pretty good condition as is the original box.
